Blitz 28Feb87-4Mar96

Blitz died on the operating table around 4:00am after all night efforts by a five-person surgical team to save him. A plastic toy caused a bowel blockage that required a surgical procedure. This should have been routine but a unsuspected heart condition led to a major cliff-hanger that he ultimately failed to survive.

Rest in peace, Blitz. We'll miss you. I'm sure there are frisbees in heaven.

We shall always remember

That he was loyal

You could see the love light in his eyes.

With the ice cream and cookies, he would never part.

The 'F' word we could never say in front of him without getting puppy eyes.

The game of "foot"

The 6 a.m. nose rubs

The constant quest for his siter's cookie crumbs

The little kisses of our seasonings

He would run and hide every time he let his insides out

"Can I come home with you?" his eyes would say when his friend would leave.

He always tried new things.

I think bowling for new pups was his favorite!

He gratefuly thanked us for that drive-by balloon stealing.

But bread-napping was his downfall.

His rare cuddlings were always welcome.

But like most men, he will never leave you alone.

He will always be there, protecting you, and getting ecsatatic every time he sees a squirrel, meanwhile breaking down a glass door!

You won't see him, but you will feel him.

This will only happen if you keep him in your heart.

The memories, good and bad, keep safe.

Remember his love, because he will always remember yours.

Love you guys,
Liala
